Christian Eriksen introduced to Brentford: "Knew 2 days after heart failure I would return"

Christian Eriksen was introduced yesterday at his new club Brentford. The Dane took a moment to reflect on the events of the past few months. "After a whole series of tests, I could calmly think about my return to football," Eriksen shared.

Immediately after his heart failure, things didn't look good for Christian Eriksen. The Danish Inter midfielder doubted whether he would ever be a professional footballer again.

"That changed after 2 days," Eriksen shares during his performance at Brentford. "It was only in the days after my heart failure that I began to fully realize what had happened."

"Then I started a whole series of tests and I asked questions about the continuation of my career. The doctors said I could return with the help of a strict program," says the midfielder with relief.

"My heart responded well to physical exertion, so I was able to increase the intensity every month," Eriksen continues. "Now it's up to me to show who I am in the coming months. To show that I'm a footballer again."
